Qualifications

• Active license in the state of practice is required.
• RN licensure must be current and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assumes other job duties as per RN licensure, training and scope of practice when floating to other areas of the medical center at established floating guidelines.
• Demonstrates critical thinking by synthesizing best practice protocols and standards with patient data, to decide on the best course of action.
• Demonstrates ability to identify and respond to changes in clinical condition, and provide timely communication to appropriate care team member, using SBAR format.
• Includes patient and significant others in the plan of care including education needs from admission through discharge, evidenced by complete and accurate documentation, and use of appropriate interventions in accordance to hospital policies and evidenced based standards.
