Job summary

Great Plains Health is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse for the Brain and Spine Providers clinic. You will check patients in, obtain vitals and ROS via EMR, review records, ensure room readiness, and support in-office procedures.

The nurse triages calls and manages medication requests while maintaining safe, sterile environments. You will handle IVs, injections, vaccine administration, and document in the patient chart using the EHR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality patient care and adheres to provider preferences for their patients using the AIDET process.
• Provides prescribed sample medications in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Administers injections/immunizations as prescribed by providers.
• Uses EHR to record visit, medication(s) and entry of patient information such as vital signs, ROS, medication lists, family and social history.
• Maintains sample medications by logging their receipt and documenting in patient chart.
• Tracks lab and procedure orders and communicates results to the healthcare team.
