Job summary

Coryell Health is seeking a Clinic Registration Clerk – Float to support multiple clinic locations. You will register patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect copays, and assist with scheduling and front-desk duties across departments.

Greet patients, maintain accurate EMR data, uphold HIPAA privacy, and communicate effectively with patients and staff. This role requires flexibility to float between clinics and provide coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous healthcare registration, medical office, customer service, or clerical experience preferred.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinic environment.
• Must be flexible and comfortable working in different clinic areas as needed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Register patients accurately and efficiently for clinic appointments.
• Verify patient demographics, identification, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Obtain required signatures, forms, and consents.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as needed.
• Answer incoming calls and direct patients to the appropriate department or staff member.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and other applicable payments.
• Provide patients with information regarding appointments, clinic procedures, and registration requirements.
• Float between clinic departments and locations to provide registration coverage as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record system.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, clinical staff, and other departments.
• Assist with resolving registration, scheduling, or insurance issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-desk environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
