Job summary

VCU Health in downtown Richmond seeks Registered Nurses (Clin I–III) to join our ambulatory care team. The roles involve providing age-appropriate care, following physician orders, and supporting a multidisciplinary care plan in a busy clinic setting.

Requirements include Virginia RN licensure (or eligibility/compact state), 12–24 months RN experience for Clin II and 3 years for Clin III, and completion of a RN to BSN program within five years if not already held. BLS-HCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree from a Nursing program; VA RN licensure or eligibility/compact state.
• Clin II requires 12–24 months RN experience; Clin III requires 3 years of clinical experience.
• All RNs without a BSN must enroll in an RN to BSN within 2 years and complete within 5 years.
• Clin III may prefer certification in a specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Follow physician/licensed independent provider orders and nursing standards.
• Provide age-specific direct care per an integrated plan of care.
• Organize work and supervise RNs, LPNs, and care partners on the unit.
• Document medication administration and ensure safety and accuracy.
