PRH is looking for a team member to join our Prairie Ridge Health Clinic in the role of Clinic Receptionist. The position is 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) Monday-Friday, days. This position will be responsible for obtaining and recording accurate and complete information upon patient registration.

Job Description:

The Clinic Receptionist is the first point of contact and is expected to demonstrate a high level of customer service while working with patients, physicians, office staff, and clinicians. Responsibilities include obtaining complete demographic and procedure information for accurate patient registration and scheduling, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting deposits, preparing reports, and other clerical duties. The position may also involve special projects as assigned by the Manager or Director of Clinic Operations.

Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in computer software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of health insurance products and benefits preferred
  • Professionalism, assertiveness in payments, and customer service skills
  • Good spelling and basic medical terminology knowledge
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with interruptions
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Flexibility in work hours and ability to travel between sites
  • Six months hospital scheduling experience preferred
Shift:

Monday-Friday Days. Some travel to other clinic sites as needed.
