CHI St. Alexius Health Williston is seeking a Clinic Receptionist to be the welcoming heart of our clinic, handling patient check-in, check-out, and coordinating essential administrative tasks to ensure a smooth patient journey.

You will manage patient records, verify insurance information, collect payments, answer inquiries, and guide patients through documentation and scheduling with empathy and professionalism.

• Copy/scan patient records, insurance information, and related materials into EMR.
• Handle patient check-out with accurate pricing and documentation of services.
• Collect patient payments and answer routine insurance and billing inquiries.
• Answer calls, confirm next-day appointments, verify insurance coverage, and inform patients of required documentation.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications with physicians and payers.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Clinic Receptionist at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, you will be the welcoming heart of our clinic, creating a comforting and efficient environment for every patient journey.

Every day, you will expertly manage patient reception, coordinate essential administrative tasks, leverage technology for seamless operations, and thoughtfully guide diverse patient populations, ensuring they feel at ease and understand their care instructions.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, technological proficiency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable, patient approach to facilitating a positive experience for all.

• Perform patient check-in at the time of visit, interview patients and complete all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient, and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
• Copy/scan patient medical records, benefit/insurance information, and related hardcopy materials (e.g. ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record system.
• Perform patient check-out including pricing services to accurately support the need and documentation of each service.
• Collect patient responsibility payments, and answer routine patient insurance and billing inquiries.
• Answer phone calls, confirm next day appointments, ensure insurance coverage, and alert patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment schedules.
• Gather, verify, and process referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications by working closely with physician(s), patients, and payers.

Pay Range

$15.71 - $22.19 /hour
