Job summary

Knapp Medical Group in Mercedes, TX is seeking a Clinic Receptionist to join the front desk team. This role is the first point of contact for patients, handling phones, greeting visitors, and supporting daily office operations in a fast-paced medical clinic.

The position is full-time, with evenings shifts (Monday–Friday 5:00pm–11:00pm) and weekends off, and requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior medical office experience is preferred and BLS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous medical office receptionist experience preferred.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Serve as telephone operator, greet patients, and ensure necessary paperwork is completed.
• Collect co-pays/deductibles as per company policy.
• Schedule and reschedule patients’ appointments per established protocols by provider.
• Serve as a primary customer service representative for the clinic.
• Complete other duties and special projects, as assigned.

We are seeking a Receptionist, also referred to as a Clinic Receptionist or Hospital Receptionist. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and helps create a welcoming, organized, and professional clinic experience. This position supports daily front office operations by answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and ensuring required paperwork is completed.

Responsibilities

The Clinic – Receptionist serves as telephone operator, greets patients, and makes sure that necessary paperwork is completed. The Clinic – Receptionist collects co-pays/deductibles as per company policy, schedules and reschedules patients’ appointments per established protocols by provider, and serves as a primary customer service representative for the clinic. The Clinic – Receptionist completes other duties and special projects, as assigned or requested.
