Job summary

CHI Health Clinic seeks a Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic images and support Radiologists in patient care at our Bellevue, NE location. You will perform X-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI, while educating patients and maintaining strict safety standards.

Required: Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registration, CPR, and NE radiographer license; willingness to uphold confidentiality and quality in every study.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program, upon hire.
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Medical Radiographer: NE, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic images to aid Radiologists in diagnosis.
• Perform X-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI imaging.
• Explain procedures, obtain consent, and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Maintain radiation safety and correct equipment settings.
• Document patient history and ensure image quality; escalate issues as needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Assesses patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures. Provides a clear explanation of the procedure including; duration, process, and what to expect following completion.
• Provides patient education as appropriate.
• Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Selects proper equipment, setting correct technical factors, procedure protocols and gathers proper supplies prior to performance of the procedure. Recognizes all radiation safety standards including “Image Gently” and “Image Wisely”. Understands and follows all rules around radiation protection including wearing of lead protection when there is a possibility of exposure.
• Obtains clear and complete history from the patient and/or patient record and records that data into patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.
• Performs quality assessment of images obtained and is able to evaluate equipment issues and escalates concerns as indicated.

Pay Range

$24.27 - $36.10 /hour
