Job summary

The MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking a Clinic Radiographer Technologist to provide diagnostic radiographs for interpretation by the Provider or Radiologist. This role floats between Lake Mills and Northwood Clinics, requiring flexibility and strong patient care skills.

Full-time Day Shift responsibilities include quality assurance, image evaluation, and maintaining safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced radiology department.

Qualifications

• ARRT credentialed radiographer.
• Current Iowa Permit to Practice.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Complete Mandatory Reporting within 6 months of hire and renew every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Completes all diagnostic procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures; maintains QA procedures and records.
• Evaluates radiographs for quality and acceptability; uses RadNet radiology orders.
• Reviews and manipulates images using the CR System and PACS Web.
• Monitors radiology area for safety and adheres to radiation protection standards.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations.

Please note: This position will float between Lake Mills and Northwood Clinics

What You Will Do

• Completes all diagnostic procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Maintains quality assurance procedures and all records.
• Evaluates radiographs for quality and acceptability and determines corrective action if necessary. Utilizes Radiology Information System (Radnet) for radiology orders.
• Reviews and manipulates images using the CR System (if applicable) and PACS Web.
• Monitors radiology area for safety and utilizes safe radiation practices.
• Maintains required department confidentiality and abides by HIPPA regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Credentialed in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Must possess a current Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice.
• Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
• Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 3 years.
