Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking a Clinic Radiographer Technologist to provide diagnostic radiographs for interpretation by the Provider and/or Radiologist.

The position will float between Lake Mills and Northwood Clinics, with Full-time daytime hours and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and patient care as part of MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center’s radiology team.

Qualifications

• Credentialed in radiography by ARRT (or equivalent).
• Current Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Completes Mandatory Reporting (Child and Dependent Adult Abuse) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographs for interpretation by Provider/Radiologist.
• Completes procedures per policies and maintains QA records.
• Evaluates image quality and takes corrective action; uses RadNet RIS for orders.
• Reviews and manipulates images using CR system and PACS Web.
• Monitors radiology area for safety and adheres to radiation safety practices.

Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Position Purpose: The Clinic Radiographer Technologist will provide patient care by providing diagnostic radiographs for interpretation by the Provider and/or Radiologist.

Please note This position will float between Lake Mills and Northwood Clinics

What you will do:

• Completes all diagnostic procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Maintains quality assurance procedures and all records.

• Evaluates radiographs for quality and acceptability and determines corrective action if necessary. Utilizes Radiology Information System (Radnet) for radiology orders.

• Reviews and manipulates images using the CR System (if applicable) and PACS Web.

• Monitors radiology area for safety and utilizes safe radiation practices.

• Maintains required department confidentiality and abides by HIPPA regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Credentialed in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

• Must possess a current Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice.

• Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.

• Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 3 years.
