Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a qualified Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs and imaging procedures in accordance with established parameters. You will assist Radiologists, ensure patient care continuity, and uphold MercyOne's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
• Must have valid Iowa permit to practice.
• Registered Technologist (Radiography) by ARRT.
• Proficient in imaging techniques for routine diagnostic radiography.
• Knowledge of CR, DR and PACS computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Takes radiographic exposures appropriate to procedure.
• Prepares patient, room and equipment for procedure.
• Collects history data from patient and provides patient education.
• Provides radiologist pertinent information for interpretation.
• Interacts positively with other departments, physicians and students.
• Follows safety, infection control and employee health policies.

What You Will Do

Takes radiographic exposures appropriate to procedure.

Prepares patient, room and equipment for procedure.

Collects history data from patient and provides patient education.

Provides patient cares in accordance with department policy.

Provides radiologist pertinent information for interpretation.

Demonstrates the ability to interact in a positive manner with other departments, physicians and students.

Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.

Based On Principles Of Growth And Development, Provides Care Appropriate To The Age Related Needs Of The Patients Served On His/her Assigned Unit, Which May Include

• Birth-28 days: Neonate

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited program in Radiography. Must have valid Iowa permit to practice. Registered Technologist (Radiography) by ARRT.
Intermediate language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability. Personal computer. Ability to work with a large degree of independence. Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Ability to use independent judgment to solve problems. Ability to perform office procedures when needed. Knowledge of imaging techniques for routine diagnostic radiographic examinations. CR, DR, and PACS computer knowledge. Understand and demonstrate a commitment to customer service expectations at all times.
