Job summary

Jefferson Center for Mental Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician to fill prescriptions, answer questions, manage inventory, and support clinic operations. The role is Monday–Friday in a clinic setting with duties across the pharmacy and customer service.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, strong interpersonal skills, and teamwork. Prior retail pharmacy experience and Third Party Billing familiarity are preferred, with PTCB or willingness to obtain preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills in person, in writing, or on the telephone.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Previous Experience in a Retail Pharmacy Environment preferred.
• Third Party Billing Experience preferred.
• PTCB or willingness to obtain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
• Answer phone courteously and direct or take messages as appropriate.
• Assist customers at the pharmacy window and locate prescriptions, determine status and process cash register functions.
• Restock medications and maintain clean pharmacy area, including restocking supplies and general cleaning.
• Accept and complete other duties as assigned by pharmacy staff with a positive attitude.
• Work to ensure customer satisfaction by serving each customer according to the company mission.
• Adhere to Pharmacy Department Quality Assurance Standards as directed by Pharmacist staff and Pharmacist-in-Charge.
