Job summary

Shields Health Solutions in Maryland is seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our hospital-based patient-care team. You will work with clinicians to deliver a full continuum of medication adherence support and ensure accurate documentation, data integrity, and excellent patient service.

The role requires state registration as a pharmacy technician, 2–5 years of experience, and a HS diploma or GED. National certification (CPhT) is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• State-registered pharmacy technician with current licensure.
• Nationally certified as a CPhT preferred but not required.
• 2–5 years of pharmacy technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide total medication management and patient support with pharmacy team.
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff in hospital clinics.
• Educate patients and assist with insurance and prior authorizations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in systems and ensure data integrity.
• Support adherence programs and refill coordination.
