Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital clinic team in New York. You will work alongside clinicians to deliver comprehensive medication management, patient education, and adherence support.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience, state registration, and strong Microsoft Office skills. A CPhT is preferred but not required; licensure is expected to be obtained within an agreed timeframe.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum pharmacy technician experience
• 3–5 years preferred
• State registration as a pharmacy technician required
• National certification (CPhT) strongly preferred but not required
• Commitment to obtain required licensure within agreed timeframe

Responsibilities

• Provide a full suite of medication management services to hospital patients
• Work with hospital clinicians to serve patients face-to-face and by phone
• Educate patients on hospital pharmacy services and adherence support
• Support outpatient and specialty prescription needs and grow patient population
• Handle insurance issues including prior authorizations and financial assistance
