Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Practice Supervisor - Clinical to support the Practice Manager by supervising day-to-day clinic operations. This working supervisor will actively participate in patient flow and administration, ensuring smooth access and documentation across the practice.

The role requires MA certification, BLS, and ambulatory experience, with a preference for prior supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current MA certification.
• AHA BLS certification at hire.
• 1–2 years ambulatory practice experience.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physician practice clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site supervision of staff while actively participating in clinic operations.
• Assists Practice Manager with coaching, guidance, and support for staff.
• Manages and approves timecards for assigned staff.
• Assists with payroll processes, staff scheduling, orientation, and training.
• Monitors work queues and ensures timely documentation and billing readiness.
• Collaborates with coding, billing, and leadership to improve reimbursement outcomes.
• Organizes workflow for Medical Assistants, Technicians, Nurses and clinical staff.
