Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a capable Operations Supervisor to manage the department’s appointment desks and daily staffing. You will supervise staff, improve processes, and ensure high patient satisfaction and compliance with policies.

Required: 3 years of healthcare leadership or supervisory experience and a high school diploma; preferred Bachelor's degree. Strong communication, delegation, and the ability to work a flexible schedule are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for diverse patient care teams.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent judgment and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong delegation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability).

Responsibilities

• Works closely with clinical colleagues, physicians, and coordinators to continually assess and improve unit procedures.
• Supervises, trains and develops department staff.
• Monitors performance using available data to assess team and individual performance.
• Ensures internal controls and policies are communicated to leaders before new processes are implemented.
• Develops unit systems to emphasize patient courtesy and responsive service delivery.
• Resolves patient complaints and requests for service promptly and courteously.
