Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Skokie, Illinois, is seeking a clinic supervisor to oversee clinical personnel and ensure high-quality patient care. The role includes staffing, training, and coordinating with the Clinic Manager to maintain efficient operations.

The ideal candidate holds LPN or RN licensure in Illinois, CPR certification, and 2 years of physician practice experience, with eligibility to work at the site and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 Years one to two years of previous physician practice experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Required Or
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Required
• CPR Certification Required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Performs clinical duties of an LPN or RN, including assessment, medications, treatments and documentation.
• Manages and directs clinical personnel, assigns priorities, approves overtime and prepares staffing schedules.
• Interviews, hires, orients and trains clinic personnel; evaluates performance and may recommend discipline.
• Collaborates with Clinic Manager/Director to develop inservices and education programs.
• Monitors clinic activities and recommends changes to improve efficiency and patient care.
• In absence of Clinic Manager, supervises office staff and coordinates with the Business Office Supervisor.
• Develops collaborative working relationships with ancillary personnel.
• Ensures safety of equipment and recommends new or replacement supplies.
• Continuing education through conferences, seminars and literature.
