Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (AR or multi-state including AR)
• Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited institution
• CPR certification required
• Previous clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures and exams.
• Assist physician with medical procedures and minor surgeries.
• Perform diagnostic tests as directed.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Maintain and operate clinical equipment.
• Serve as liaison with hospitals, nursing homes, DMEs, pharmacies, HMOs and other offices.
• Support other medical staff to maintain patient flow and accurate documentation.

Job description

Summary The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient preparation, assisting the physician with medical procedures and minor surgeries, performing various diagnostic tests, administering medications, and providing patient education in the clinic. The nurse also maintains equipment, acts as a liaison between the physician and outside agencies (including hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMO's, and other physician's offices) and the patient, supports other medical staff members to maintain patient flow, and maintains accurate and complete documentation.
