Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to keep clinics running smoothly and support the clinical team in providing quality patient care.

The LPN will lead in preparing patient charts, document health information, and assist with procedures while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to guidelines. Collaboration with physicians and staff is essential to maintain efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Perform general nursing care to patients following clinic workflows.
• May perform nursing care related to the practice specialty.
• Obtain patient consent for care and ensure confidentiality.
• Obtain and document health history, vital signs, chief complaint, and health risk factors.
• Provide patient care per guidelines and standards; administer medications; monitor responses.
• Collaborate with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to address problems or concerns.
• Educate patients and families about health status, maintenance, and management of conditions.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You’ll take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts; ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

Every day, you'll manage care for multiple patients, adapting to physician availability on-site, and actively collaborate with your clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.

• Performs general nursing care to patients by following established clinic workflows.
• May perform specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of the practice.
• Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Obtain and document health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition.
• Provide patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations. Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administer prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. This includes but is not limited to preparing and administering injections, performing routine tests, treating wounds, and changing bandages. Refer to/consult with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
• Educate patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Preferred

• 1 year related experience in a clinic, specialty clinic or acute hospital setting

Base Pay

LPN Starts at $21/hr

CMA Starts at $19/hr
