Job summary

CHI Health Clinic in Nebraska is seeking an onsite Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a busy clinic. You will lead chart preparation, relay information to the care team, and help ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.

You will perform varied nursing tasks, obtain consent, document histories and vitals, and administer medications and treatments while adhering to guidelines. Patient education is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and licensed to practice in NE.
• Current LPN license in Nebraska required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general nursing care following clinic workflows.
• Provide nursing care related to the practice specialty as needed.
• Obtain patient consent and maintain confidentiality.
• Document health history, chief complaint, vitals, and health risks.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, and treatments; monitor progress.
• Educate patients and families about health status and condition management.

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*

As our Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You’ll take the lead on proactive preparation of patient charts; ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

Every day, you'll manage care for multiple patients, adapting to physician availability on-site, and actively collaborate with your clinical team to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.

• Performs general nursing care to patients by following established clinic workflows.
• May perform specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of the practice.
• Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Obtain and document health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition.
• Provide patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations. Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administer prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. This includes but is not limited to preparing and administering injections, performing routine tests, treating wounds, and changing bandages. Refer to/consult with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
• Educate patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Base Pay

• LPN Starts at $21/hr
• CMA Starts at $19/hr
