Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a clinic setting to support providers in delivering timely, high-quality patient care. The role involves patient intake, care delivery, and coordination of follow-up visits in an outpatient clinic environment.

The position is full-time with 10-hour shifts over four days per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekend rotation. A starting bonus of $2,000 is available for eligible external talent.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree from a Board of Nursing approved LPN program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse MN BON or Licensed Practical Nurse Wisconsin (if working in Wisconsin or interacting with Wisconsin patients remotely) May require both state licenses based on the services provided at the location hired Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care support as delegated by Provider or RN.
• Administers therapies including medications, scheduling follow up visits or other support.
• Provides patient care pre/post encounter or procedure, preventative or other health information.
• Coordinates communication of medical information and confirms information with patient when necessary.
• Assists patients to prepare for physician exam, including psycho-emotional support.
• Documents all encounters and patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Performs any clinical functions within scope of license as ordered by physician.
