Northfield Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Clinic Laboratory Supervisor to provide leadership for the clinic laboratories within the Family Health Medical Clinic System. The role oversees staff competency, testing needs, and quality standards in collaboration with Laboratory Services and site management.
The position emphasizes regulatory compliance, proficiency testing, and ongoing performance improvement across testing modalities in a busy community setting.
The Clinic Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the personnel, technical, and scientific oversight of the clinic laboratories within the Family Health Medical Clinic System. The Clinic Laboratory Supervisor works in collaboration with the Director of Laboratory Services and clinic site management to evaluate testing needs, staff competency, and establishes the quality standards of the laboratory through the selection and monitoring of the laboratory’s staff, methods, and instrumentation.
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based based on experience, educationand internal equity considerations. The wage range for this position is $75,920.00—$107,182.40.This range reflects the base salary for this position.
High School diploma or equivalent
Graduate from an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
Certification by ASCP
Maintain a valid Minnesota Driver's License and driving record that meets NH&C driving standards
Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently to ensure safe and effective communication in a healthcare environment
Must be enrolled in NH+C RQI program for BLS certification and complete the requirements within 90 days of enrollment. Must remain current (complete quarterly assignments prior to the end of each calendar quarter).
Initial Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) within six months.
Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation and annually thereafter.
80 hours per two-week pay period
Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Occasional early mornings or extended hours may be required for meetings, including Board meetings.
Flexibility to adjust hours as needed to support operational needs, including maintenance projects, ITS upgrades or system downtime, analyzer issues, and departmental coverage during staff absences.
