Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Healthcare and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for diagnostic services.
• Verifies insurance coverage and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Communicates appointment information and prep instructions to patients.
• Ensures clinical documentation is available at time of appointment.
• Confirms provider receives results in a timely manner.
• Registers lab patients and maintains accurate data in AccuReg.
• Prints medical records as needed to aid continuity of care.
• Assists with referrals to MMC services such as PT or CCC.
• Collects blood specimens via venipuncture or finger stick.
• Prepares other specimens for transportation to the lab.
• Maintains requested statistics and reports.
