Qualifications

• Requires at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Healthcare environment and customer service experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or training preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for diagnostic services per physician request.
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
• Communicate appointment details and prep instructions to patients.
• Coordinate with referrals to ensure required clinical documents are ready.
• Ensure timely delivery of patient test results to providers.
• Register lab patients using AccuReg daily and maintain data accuracy.
• Print medical records to support continuity of care.
• Assist referrals to MMC services (PT, CCC, etc.).
• Collect specimens (blood via venipuncture or finger stick) following guidelines.
• Prepare other specimens for transportation to the lab.
• Maintain required statistics, documentation, and reports.
