Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) seeks a detail-oriented Physician Practice Laboratory Coordinator to oversee laboratory operations across our physician practices in Harrison, AR. The role includes CLIA compliance, quality systems, and performing MLT/MLS duties to ensure accurate patient testing.

The coordinator will mentor staff, manage inventory, support clinic workflow, and maintain documentation while upholding regulatory standards and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Requires AS/MLS degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Two years laboratory training/experience; two years supervising non-waived testing; one year in moderate complexity testing.
• Certification or registry eligible with listed boards (ASCP, AMT, AAB, HEW, ISCLT, NCA, ASMT, ASCLT).
• Knowledge of CLIA regulations and laboratory quality systems; computer proficiency; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity testing within scope.
• Collect, label, process, preserve, and store patient specimens.
• Maintain CLIA compliance and laboratory quality systems.
• Perform quality control, proficiency testing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration.
• Coordinate daily operations of physician practice laboratories.
• Train and mentor laboratory staff.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and documentation.
• Support clinic workflow and patient care.
