Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Financial Counselor Manager to oversee clinic collections and lead a team of financial counselors across multiple locations. The role requires ensuring accurate self-pay and insurance collections and maintaining fiscally responsible operations.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in medical office billing/collections, strong communication skills, and proven management experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the medical field business office with prior experience in the collection of self-pay and insurance accounts, preferably at management level.
• Strong verbal communication skills in dealing with patients' financial matters.
• Experience in accounts receivable management required.
• Ability to manage employees across multiple locations is crucial.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Financial Counselors in the clinics and review their performance of Managed Care duties and patient collections.
• Supervise and review all clinic collections.
• Provide training regarding Florida Cancer Specialists collection policies and procedures to clinic staff.
• Approve all special order drugs and review chemotherapy regimens to ensure reimbursement covers FCS cost of drugs.
• Support the financial goals of the company by being fiscally responsible in all areas, including staffing and purchasing.
