CHI Health Clinic in Omaha seeks a Clinic Coder II to accurately abstract and code patient records per coding and billing guidelines, ensuring clean revenue cycle processes.

You will review records to assign diagnoses using ICD-9-CM and CPT-4, sequence codes appropriately, and validate charges against documentation while protecting patient confidentiality. Strong credentials and cardiology coding expertise are preferred.

Formación

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or equivalent, upon hire.
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or related credentials upon hire.
• Cardiology coding expertise preferred or relevant certification.
• RHIT/RHIA credentials upon hire.
• Physician-based coding certification a plus.
• Experience with revenue cycle and medical billing workflows beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Abstract and code patient records following coding guidelines (ICD-9-CM, CPT-4).
• Determine diagnoses and MS-DRG/APC assignments with accuracy.
• Validate charges against documentation and rectify discrepancies.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure compliant data submission and revenue integrity.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and billing information.
