Job summary

Family Health Center is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant/LPN/RN to support healthcare delivery in both medical and behavioral health settings in Vincennes, Indiana. The role assists providers and staff to maintain efficient patient flow and delivers compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include room preparation, history-taking, procedures, medication administration, basic lab work, and accurate EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in primary care, mental health, or integrated healthcare.
• Certification: Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited program.
• Licensure: LPN or RN from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and patients for provider visits, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain and review medical histories, medications, vital signs, and other health information.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Administer medications as directed by licensed providers, in accordance with scope of practice.
• Perform basic laboratory tests.
• Accurately document all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations and medication calls as needed.
• Maintain neat and clean work and storage areas, specifically supplies.
• Complies with all regulatory, state, and federal regulations as well as FHC policies and procedures.
• Obtains and maintains required competencies for the role.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
