Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System in Huntsville, AL seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the clinical team with continuity and quality patient care. This role initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, and prepares patient and exam room for procedures, while collecting specimens.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred completion of CMA, CNA, or Huntsville Hospital Patient Care Tech program.
• Basic life support (BLS) required within orientation.
• Phlebotomy experience and clinic setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, and prepares patient and exam room for procedures.
• Assists physicians and coworkers; draws blood as needed.
• Provides patient education and support; able to use computers, fax machines and copiers.
