Job summary

Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL is seeking a clinical team member to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting. You will initiate patient care, collect vitals, prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures, while ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification within orientation, and at least one year of clinic experience; phlebotomy experience is preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• License, certification and/or registration: BLS certification must be completed within the orientation period
• Experience: Minimum of one year clinic experience in family or pediatric care setting. Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Additional Skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine. Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Initiates patient care, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, and collects specimens.
• Provides patient education and support as needed to assist physician, patient and family.
• Returns patient phone calls.
