Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking a Clinic Assistant (0.9FTE) to support both clinical and administrative tasks. You will assist with patient care, room patients, obtain vital signs, and document in the EMR. You will also manage inbox messages, test results, and patient forms, covering staff absences as needed.

The role requires CMA/RMA/CCMA or equivalent credentials, BLS, and Wisconsin/Minnesota licenses. The position involves occasional travel between Osceola and Scandia clinics and requires

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program or nursing program.
• EMT or CNA/LPN credentials may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning/prepping for patient visits.
• Assist clinicians with administering patient care.
• Prepare patients for clinicians’ examination, obtaining vital signs and other measurements, recording in the EMR system.
• Educating patients and families as deemed necessary.
• Tracks orders, test results, and phone messages for each clinician to appropriate sites.
• Documents all interactions with patients and clinicians when medical direction is given.
• Oversees equipment inventory for each clinician.
• Assist clinician during procedures and processing specimens to lab.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, exam rooms, and treatment rooms.
• Assist in medication refills as needed per protocol.
• Adhere to HIPAA compliance.
