Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking Clinical Assistants to support individuals with developmental disabilities across the Capital Region. You will join a multidisciplinary team to implement personalized residential and daily care plans, promoting independence and dignity while respecting personal choices and informed risk.

Requirements include a high school diploma (associates preferred), at least 1 year of relevant experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, a valid NYS driver’s license,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience with Developmental Disabilities required.
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Valid NYS driver’s license in good standing.
• OPWDD Medication Administration Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification and SCIP-R Certification must be completed within the first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist, provide and promote independence in daily treatment, care and services of the people we support.
• Serve as member of individuals’ planning, implementation and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist in implementation of individualized residential habilitation services.
• Respect individuals’ personal choice, lifestyles and dignity to take informed risks.
