Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Lebanon, Ohio, seeks an experienced Line Clearance Climbing Trimmer to join our utility team, performing climbing, pruning and removal for major electric utilities while using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems outdoors.

You will work with a crew on site, receive hourly pay of $23.00–$24.00, and enjoy benefits such as health insurance, disability, 401k with company match, stock purchase program, holiday and PTO, and other perks.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: relevant pesticide licenses and certificates as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees and perform pruning and removal for utilities.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs and objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Work as part of crew with ground crew and foreperson.
• Grow with opportunity depending on performance.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Climbing Trimmer, joining our team servicing the city of Lebanon, Ohio.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson
