Job summary

The City of Aspen is hiring an intermittent Recreation Attendant - Climbing Tower to supervise and assist within the climbing area at the Aspen Recreation Center. You will monitor activities, instruct safe use of equipment, and help guests with harnesses and belaying while delivering excellent service.

Even though hours vary, the role supports a safe environment and responsive assistance for patrons of all skill levels. Criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 15 years old at time of hiring.
• No prior experience required; customer service or public-facing experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required and paid training provided if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Monitor climbing wall activities and patrons in the climbing area.
• Provide instruction on safe and proper use of the climbing wall and equipment.
• Assist patrons with harness fitting and belaying as needed.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist participants of varying skill levels.
