Job summary

Alta Climbing is seeking a Retail Manager to oversee operations across Alta Climbing, Alta Boulders, and Alta Scottsdale in Gilbert, Chandler, and Scottsdale, AZ. You will drive revenue, manage inventory, and build strong vendor partnerships to deliver a consistent retail experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-location retail management.
• Knowledge of climbing and outdoor industry.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop retail strategy and coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee retail operations at Alta Climbing, Alta Boulders, and Alta Scottsdale across Gilbert, Chandler, and Scottsdale.
• Develop and maintain consistent retail standards across locations.
• Establish and maintain retail policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Conduct regular visits to each location to evaluate inventory, merchandising, sales and presentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve retail experience and increase sales.
• Train and hold front desk and retail staff accountable for standards and performance.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase retail revenue and profitability.
• Establish sales goals and KPIs for each location.
• Monitor sales performance by location, category, vendor, and product.
• Identify opportunities to increase average transaction value and retail attachment rates.
• Develop seasonal promotions and campaigns.
• Collaborate with Marketing on promotions across channels.
• Create an attractive, organized, brand-consistent environment.
• Develop merchandising standards and new collections across locations.
