Job summary

Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton is seeking several Base Camp Logistics student assistants to support Campus Recreation programs. This part-time role involves challenge course activities, climbing wall operations, gear rentals, and trip prep.

You will assist with programming, operate the climbing wall with safety checks and belaying, manage gear check-out, help load equipment, and keep activity areas clean and safe.

Qualifications

• FAU degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.5 GPA required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with challenge course programming, including activity setup, facilitation support, and participant supervision.
• Operate the climbing wall, conducting required safety inspections, properly belaying participants, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
• Manage rental center operations, including gear check-in and check-out.
• Support trip preparation, including organizing equipment and loading gear.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across all activity areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Campus Recreation operations.
