Job summary

University of North Florida seeks a capable Osprey Cliff and Challenge Course Coordinator to support Eco Adventure operations, including the Challenge Course, Zipline, Sky Park, and climbing wall activities.

The role focuses on program development, staff supervision, risk management, and ensuring high-quality experiential learning for campus and external partners. You will hire and train part-time staff and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain challenge course and climbing wall certifications.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and varied schedules based on program needs.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including adults, youth, students, and community participants.
  • Wilderness first responder or first aid certification or willingness to complete training within 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate programs for the Osprey Challenge Course, Zipline, Sky Park, and Osprey Cliff.
  • Design customized team-building experiences for campus organizations and external clients.
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate part-time staff.
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures and certification requirements.
  • Oversee routine inspection, maintenance, and safety of course elements and equipment.
  • Manage reservations and logistics for all programs within assigned areas.
