The Davey Tree Expert Company in Lombard, IL is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist Trainee for an on-site outdoor role. You will join a tree crew, progressively learn climbing and pruning skills, and contribute to safe tree care for residential and commercial clients. Starting pay ranges from $20 to $23 per hour with comprehensive training.

Competenze

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete safety courses (First Aid, CPR, defensive driving) upon hire.

Mansioni

• Climb and work as part of a tree crew while learning new skills.
• Learn pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Identify trees and apply industry pruning guidelines.
• Prune, thin, and remove deadwood from the canopy.
• Assist in installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Assist in removal of hazardous trees and maintain tools/equipment.
