Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Omaha, NE is seeking a Tree Climber to join our field team. The role includes pruning and removing trees, using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems, and working closely with a ground crew to deliver safe, quality services.

You will handle equipment such as chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts, while adhering to safety standards. The position offers benefits including PTO, holidays, 401(k) with company match, and health plan.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: pesticide and related licenses/certificates if required by state law.

Position Overview

Pay Range: $25.00-35.00/Hourly

Trim and remove trees, remove unwanted, diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
