Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist to perform tree pruning and removal on-site in Columbus, OH. The role involves working with various climbing systems, operating ground support, and ensuring safety in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights is preferred.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using Davey’s DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform tree pruning and removal safely and skillfully for clients.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood in canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees and maintain/operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws and aerial lifts.
