Qualifications

• Love of outdoors
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Pesticide licenses/certificates as required by state law

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems
• Work with ground crew and crew leader
• Perform pruning and removal safely and skillfully
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood in the canopy
• Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems
• Remove hazardous trees
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts
