Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Redwood City, CA is seeking a climbing arborist to trim and remove trees, and to perform health and safety work for clients throughout the area. You will operate as part of a crew, using climbing systems and ground support to deliver safe, high-quality tree care.

Required are a love of the outdoors and the ability to complete Davey safety and first aid courses upon hire. The company offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement across locations

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping
• Experience working at heights
• Willingness to complete orientation and safety courses on hire
• Preferred pesticide and related licenses if required by state law

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as part of a crew with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform pruning and removal to maintain health and safety of trees for clients.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
