Brush Hog Tree Care in La Honda, CA is seeking an experienced Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to guide a 2-5 person crew through residential, commercial, and land-management projects. You will perform and supervise high‑quality arboricultural work while upholding safety standards.

The role requires 4+ years in tree care and climbing, knowledge of pruning, rigging, and equipment operation. ISA/TCIA certifications are preferred; CDL Class A/B is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of tree care or forestry experience.
• 4+ years of climbing experience.
• Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of tree identification and professional pruning practices.
• Ability to lead and mentor a crew.
• Experience with chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and tree-care equipment.
• ISA or TCIA certifications preferred.

Climbing Arborist Crew Leader | La Honda, CA for Brush Hog Tree Care

Brush Hog Tree Care is looking for an experienced Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to lead a 2-5 person tree care crew while performing and overseeing safe, productive arboricultural work throughout Northern California.

This is a full-time, year-round senior-level position for an experienced tree climber and arborist who can lead by example, maintain high safety standards, mentor crew members, and confidently manage residential, commercial, and land-management tree care projects.

You'll be responsible for hands-on tree work including pruning, rigging, hazardous tree removal, cabling and bracing, equipment operation, tree identification, and aerial tree care, while also leading job-site safety, crew coordination, and daily work planning.
