The Davey Tree Expert Company in Omaha, NE is seeking a climbing arborist trainee. Your office is outdoors and you will work on-site with a crew to care for trees, learning climbing systems and safety practices.

You’ll train through Davey programs, with opportunities for advancement within a worker-owned company. The role offers paid time off, holidays, health plan, 401(k) and stock options, plus robust career development.

Qualificações

• Outdoor work environment required.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping or heights preferred.
• Complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving on hire.
• Preferred pesticide licenses if required by state law.

Responsabilidades

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Work as part of a crew with ground staff and crew leader.
• Perform tree pruning and removal duties safely and skillfully.
• Prune, thinning and remove deadwood from the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection as needed.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws and chippers.
