Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join The Davey Tree Expert Company in Mashpee, MA. Your office is outdoors and you’ll work on-site performing pruning, removal, and health/safety-focused tree care.

Responsibilities include climbing using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems, collaborating with crew members, and maintaining equipment. Davey offers benefits, advancement opportunities and a supportive, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Position Overview

Trimand removetrees, remove unwanted,diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areasby performing the following duties

Compensation

$30 - $32 (Based on experience)

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
  • Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
  • Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
  • Removal of hazardous trees
  • Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
