The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist in Rochester, NY. You will trim and remove trees, assess health and safety, and work with a team to deliver professional tree care services on site.

Requirements include 1+ year of climbing experience, a valid driver’s license, and safety certifications; CDL is preferred. Company offers comprehensive benefits and career development; work is performed at customer sites across the region.

Competenze

• Love of the outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred: DOT medical card).
• Minimum 1 year of tree climbing experience.
• Preferred: CDL or ability to obtain it on hire.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Must complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Must complete Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Preferred: pesticide, CDL, or related licenses as required by state law.

Mansioni

• Trim and prune trees, remove deadwood, and perform removals as needed.
• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.

Salary: $23 - $33 hourly (Depending on experience & certifications)

Position Overview

Trimand removetrees, remove unwanted,diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areasby performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• How high you grow depends on you!
• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreman.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Required: Valid driver's license (preferred: valid DOT medical card)
• Required: Previous tree climbing experience (minimum 1 year)
• Preferred: Valid CDL or ability to acquire it upon hire
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide, DOT, CDL and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
