The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join our outdoor team. Your office is the job site, where you will trim and remove limbs, climb with DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems, and work with a crew to deliver top-quality tree care services.

You will maintain equipment, participate in safety training, and have the opportunity for professional growth within a large employee-owned company across the US.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and working outside in varying conditions.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or heights work preferred.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving on hire.
• Preferred pesticide licenses/certificates as state law requires.

Responsabilités

• Trim and prune trees and remove limbs to improve health and safety.
• Climb using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems as part of crew.
• Work safely with ground crew and crew leader to service clients.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws and lifts.
• Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection when needed.

Position Overview

Trim and remove trees, remove unwanted, diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
