Arbor Masters is seeking a Tree Climber in Springville, IA to join our family-owned team. You will operate bucket and other equipment, perform pruning and removals, and lead a two-person crew while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years rope and saddle climbing experience.
• Valid driver's license; Class C required.
• CDL class A or B preferred but not required.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Knowledge of knots used in roping and rigging.
• Ability to work at heights above 10 feet.
• Experience with pruning and removal techniques.
• ISA Certified Arborist or in process.
• Experience operating bucket or claw trucks preferred.
• Cabling and bracing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and hand/power tools.
• Lead a 2-man pruning crew through projects.
• Ensure tools and equipment are loaded, maintained and fueled.
• Conduct job briefings and set up work zones safely.
• Complete tree risk and site assessments; communicate with homeowners.
• Perform pre- and post-job walkthroughs.
• Maintain safety PPE and coordinate with crew.
• Assist in debris cleanup after job.

The opportunity is all yours and what you want to make of it!As a Tree Climber, you would be responsible for:Operating heavy equipment, hand, and power equipment, such as bucket trucks, brush trucks, claw trucks, chippers, pole saws, pruning saws, pole pruners, power pole saws, and chainsaws.Repairing, sharpening, and maintaining equipment and tools ø Performing basic felling and rigging, along with aerial rigging over obstaclesLeading a 2-man pruning crew while completing pruning & removal projectsEnsuring all appropriate tools, supplies, and materials are loaded on truck, well maintained and accounted for, along with ensuring equipment is inspected and prepared with fuel and fluidsPerforming job briefing and assisting Crew Leader in work zone set-up and utilizing safety PPECompleting tree risk assessment and job site assessment, along with communicating with homeowners about services Arbor Masters offers, and performing pre- and post-job walkthroughsCommunicating verbally and visually with all members of the crewAssisting in debris cleanup at job completionRequirements:Must be a team player with a positive attitude!Must have a valid driver's license and possess a class C driver's licenseCDL class A or class B License with airbrake endorsement is preferred, but not requiredMust be at least 18 years oldMinimum of 2-3-year rope and saddle climbing experience including knowledge of various knots used in roping and technical riggingMust have basic knowledge of proper tree pruning and removal techniquesAbility to work effectively at heights above 10 feetAbility to complete labor-intensive outdoor work with exposure to a variety of weather conditionsAbility to navigate uneven terrain, stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and lift in excess of 501bs on a regular basisISA Certified Arborist (or in process)Experience operating bucket or claw trucks preferred e Cabling and bracing skills preferred
