Job summary

NRDC, the Natural Resources Defense Council, seeks a Climate Policy Implementation Intern to support GFED's climate policy work. The internship is based in New York, Santa Monica, or Washington, DC, with onsite presence three days per week.

The role focuses on developing policy briefs for municipalities, exploring barriers to implementation, and creating reports and communications to support NRDC’s advocacy efforts.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Project management and/or problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Research and/or data analysis skills.
• Commitment to NRDC’s mission, values, and DEI principles.

Responsibilities

• Support GFED's climate policy implementation projects.
• Develop policy briefs for municipalities on financing and programs.
• Assist with researching barriers to implementation.
• Produce reports and communication materials supporting advocacy.
