Job summary

HASI is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join its Portfolio Management team in Annapolis, MD. You will support monitoring, analysis, and management of HASI’s investment portfolio, assist with due diligence for new opportunities, and contribute to forecasting and portfolio analytics.

At Analyst level, focus on modeling, research, and reporting; at Associate level, take ownership of modeling and portfolio workstreams and guide junior teammates as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Finance, Economics, or Business preferred.
• Analyst: 2–3 years relevant experience; Associate: 3–5 years.
• Experience in renewable energy finance or asset management is preferred.
• Advanced MS Excel modeling and data mining essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reviews of portfolio performance across grid-connected, renewable natural gas, or behind-the-meter investments.
• Collaborate with counterparties to collect and verify KPIs and address commercial issues.
• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models and portfolio analyses to evaluate performance.
• Develop and refine internal portfolio monitoring tools and reporting processes.
• Prepare briefing decks and management materials synthesizing performance and risk.
• Support due diligence for investments, including forecasting and cost analyses.
